Sometimes, there’s nothing better than taking a little trip down memory lane, and as we inch closer to this year's face-to-face Experience, we can’t help but feel nostalgic and reflect on the great times of Experiences past. With Experience 2022 coming up on March 14th, to say we’re excited is a bit of an understatement. We’re really looking forward to seeing our customers, partners, and employees in-person in Las Vegas after two years of working, meeting, and networking remotely.
To commemorate Experience, we asked members of the ICE Mortgage Technology® leadership team to share their favorite memories from past Experiences, and their responses will surprise you. Some highlights include: The charming NBA legend Magic Johnson, the memorable RESPA-TILA t-rex, the one-and-only Malcom Gladwell, a keynote guest near and dear to the heart, and an opportunity to see business opportunities unfold in real-time. Though these responses vary, one thing is certain: Experience is known for leaving a lasting impression, year after year.
“One of my favorite memories from previous Experiences has to be when Magic Johnson came to talk to our customers and our partners. He started walking off the stage and started pulling people out of the audience. He asked them about their personal stories, and he was able to relate to everything that our clients and our partners shared with him. He was so gracious, so inspirational, and he did it in such a genuine and humble way by taking himself off the stage, and essentially off the pedestal that so many of us put him on. It was one of the most special memories I have from Experience, and I know it was for all our customers and partners as well. So, you never know what's going to happen when you come to Experience, as we all learned.” - Joe Tyrrell, President, ICE Mortgage Technology
“My favorite memory from years past with Experience is from a keynote I was giving. I had my daughter with me at the time, dressed up in a little dinosaur costume. She had to be six or seven years old, and she came on stage in front of 3,000 people to be up there with me. And I don't ever get emotional when I speak, except when it involves my family, and I got a little choked up just having my daughter on stage with me in front of all our clients and partners. It was something to this day that I still look back at.” - Jonas Moe, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Market Strategy, ICE Mortgage Technology
“At last year’s virtual Experience, I really enjoyed Malcom Gladwell. He’s one of my favorite authors and I’ve got a ton of his books, so it was really good to hear him virtually. And then a few years back, I participated in Experience as a partner, and that was a unique experience because we got to see how the event unfolds and see the value that ICE Mortgage Technology can provide the partner network. So, I’m looking forward to seeing that again now that we’re back live this year.” - Eric Kujala, Vice President, Product Marketing, ICE Mortgage Technology
“I would say that every Experience is exciting for me personally. Especially when we see partners who are new to the industry, or net new partners, and you see them excited and engaged when talking to our customers about their solution. So, I think for me, being able to see somebody grow their business and watching it happen in front of you, every year, year after year is incredibly exciting.” Bob Hart, SVP, Network and Business Development, ICE Mortgage Technology
“When I look back on all the Experiences that we've had, and there have been a lot, the one that comes to mind is really around our RESPA-TILA dinosaur promotion that we did several years back. Not only was it incredibly successful, but it was a really fun mantra to have at the event. We were able to galvanize the team and our customers around it.” - Parvesh Sahi, SVP, Business & Client Development, ICE Mortgage Technology
We hope you enjoyed reading about the impact of Experience in our team’s own words. Before we wrapped our interviews, we asked them one final question: What are you most looking forward to this year at Experience 2022? And we got some fantastic responses, including:
But the most common sentiment in each answer? Seeing you.
So, here’s to cherishing the memories we’ve made, and to making new ones in-person at Experience 2022. We can’t wait to see you there. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time to secure your spot.
